Ranakpur Jain temple, Ranakpur
Ranakpur Jain temple or Chaturmukha Dharanavihara is a Jain temple at Ranakpur is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha. Dharna Shah, a local Jain businessperson, started construction of the temple in the 15th century following a divine vision. These 15th-century marble temples have been superbly preserved in a near-perfect condition for over 500 years. There are four subsidiary shrines, 24 pillared halls and 1,444 columns in all, which are intricately carved yet no two of them are alike.
