Immersing in the pure and thoroughly enchanting waters of the holy Triveni Sangam has an infinitely positive effect on the mind, body and soul. Bhagamandala is also popularly called the 'Triveni Sangam'. Tri means three and Veni mean stream - and thus named Triveni Sangam is a sacred confluence of the three rivers- the Kaveri, the Kannike and the mythical river Sujyoti. It?s called a mythical river because legend says that the river Sujuyoti flows underground until it meets the sangam, and then it expands into its merry flow.
