About Isha Yoga Center

Isha Yoga Ashram in India is a non-profit and non-religious center, which has been drawing innumerable people from different parts of the globe since a long time. The ashram and yoga center has been founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Located in the center is Adiyogi Shiva statue, statue of the Hindu deity Shiva with white Thirunamam. This has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the "Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world. Designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, founder of the Isha Foundation, it was built by the foundation and weighs around 500 tonnes (490 long tons; 550 short tons). Sadhguru said that the statue is for inspiring and promoting yoga, and is named Adiyogi, which means "the first yogi", because Shiva is known as the originator of yoga.
